Long-term monitoring of development in selected localities of the Krkonoše indigenous beech and spruce forests is carried out at the VÚHLM – research station Opočno under the supervision of prof. RNDr. Stanislav Vacek, Dr.Sc.
KRNAP - V bažinkách – Vacek‘s PRP No. 2b (segment)
Development of indigenous mountain beech forests is monitored on 6 PRP (each 0.25 ha large) of Rýchory and Boberská stráň localities (VACEK et al. 1984; VACEK et al. 1988; VACEK et al. 1996). Development of indigenous mountain spruce forests is monitored on 5 PRP in the Strmá stráň locality (VACEK 1981, 1990; VACEK et al. 1994). Furthermore, original beech-spruce forests are researched on 2 PRP in the V bažinkách locality (VACEK et al. 1987).
