Vladimír TESAŘ

Amiable and always cheerful Prof. Tesař has been our long-term consultant. He has taught us to look at the dynamics of natural forests with the silviculturist’s eyes and to keep inquiring what from the new lessons learnt can be used in the cultivation of forests. With his discrete but well-thought ways he succeeded to introduce us onto the international scene not only of “virgin forest“ research but also in the related applications of near-natural silviculture. After years of external cooperation he inadvertently and as a matter-of-course became a team colleague.
